As experts in the telecom industry, our staff here at SmartCom have encountered a number of software, hardware, and office solutions. But, time after time, we recommend that our customers choose Avaya IP Office for their office collaboration needs. Why? Because we love it—and so do our customers. Our blog today will give you an introduction to Avaya and share some of the reasons we keep recommending and installing it, again and again.
What is Avaya IP Offfice?
Avaya IP Office is a hybrid PBX solution, which incorporates digital technology, VoIP support, and SIP support. What’s a PBX? It stands for “Private Branch Exchange,” and addresses a system in which calls or data can be switched between local lines while still sharing external phone lines. With Avaya IP Office, you can support analog, digital, and IP phones with up to 100 voice messaging ports and 128 audio conferencing ports. Translation: You can work better and faster with fewer phone lines.
How does Avaya IP Office beat the competition?
We like this solution because of the many different phone call types that are supported. For example, some solutions don’t support large conference calls, but Avaya IP Office handles these with ease. Do you need to coordinate your marketing department, a case advisor, three clients representing the same business from different locations, and a new hire? Not a problem. Want to hold a digital conference? Avaya IP Office has you covered. In addition, this solution has the ability to support legacy Avaya and Nortel phones, which many of our customer have used in the past.
Why doesn’t everyone use Avaya IP Office?
While we love this solution, we admit it’s not for everyone. Unlike other telecom solutions in NJ, this one does not offer a call center, and does not support IVR. You will need at least one server, and their in-house support can be pricey.
Does Avaya sound right for you—or are you envisioning another telecom solution for your business? In any case, consult with SmartCom Solutions to make a smart decision!
